Jason's Cradle is a simple to use ladder-like device made of DuPont Delrin, polyethylene and 316 marine-grade stainless steel.

The fast-link system allows for a variety of configurations. Therefore Jason's Cradle can easily be fitted on any type of vessel. The other end is lowered towards the water surface. This action automatically forms an articulating non-collapsible loop that is lowered below the surface of the water. Conscious overboard casualties can easily climb the outside of the loop like a ladder, while injured or unconscious casualties can be floated into the loop and quickly lifted to safety. On high freeboard ships the system also serves as a rescue platform often avoiding the necessity for rescue swimmers in the water.
